Return Policy

Thank you for shopping at Dogwood Avenue Books. We hope that you are satisfied with the product you purchased. If you are not, please consult the following question and answer paragraphs.


 

Can I return a damaged item?

Yes. If the item is not the what you ordered or if it is damaged or deficient in nature. Note that Dogwood Avenue Books is not responsible for damage that occurred as a result of shipping, unless the damage was caused by improper packing at our end. For details of how we ship our items, see our shipping policy.


Is there a time limit?

Yes. You have thirty days to return the item.

 

Why is there a time limit?

Almost all shoppers are honest and deal with suppliers in good faith, but unfortunately, a few take unwarranted advantage of unlimited refund policies. A no-time-limit refund policy might encourage some of those shoppers to return an item after they used it and feel that they no longer have a need for it. In order to prevent this, and yet in order to give you, the honest shopper, an opportunity to address genuine problems or item defects, we apply a thirty day period to our return policy. The thirty day period begins seven days after the shipping date.

 

How do I return an item?

First, send us an email at DogwoodAvenue@shaw.ca and explain your case. We will promptly try to rectify any problems. If the problem cannot be resolved to your satisfaction, you can return the item to us by mail along with a copy of the packing slip (verso) or a copy of the Paypal invoice sent to you by email at the time of your order.

 

When will I get a refund?

As soon as we receive the item, we will process your claim. If we are responsible for the defect or problem, we will initiate a refund via Paypal. Paypal will credit your account or credit card.

 

Will my refund include the cost I inured to return the item to you?

No, but it will include the original shipping cost you paid at the time of the order.
